A’seeb: The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) today held a ceremony to mark the conclusion of its “2025 Scientific Innovation Competition”. The ceremony took place at A’Seeb Air Base under the auspices of Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hamad Al Ghafri, Commander of the RAFO.
According to Oman News Agency, the competition’s organizing committee delivered a speech highlighting the contest’s significance for RAFO personnel. A key objective of the contest was to nurture a culture of innovation and creativity. The speech emphasized efforts to advance innovation, encourage research, and harness the innovative potential of RAFO personnel.
The event featured a video presentation showcasing the stages of the competition. During the ceremony, the RAFO Commander inaugurated the RAFO ‘Air Innovation Centre’ website, which serves as an addition to the Ministry of Defence’s network.
Following the inauguration, the RAFO Commander and attendees toured an exhibition held alongside the event. They observed the innovations that won top prizes in the ‘2025 Scientific Innovation Competition’.
At the ceremony’s conclusion, the RAFO Commander honored the winners, the competition’s organizers, and the jury. The event was attended by senior officers and RAFO personnel.
