MUSCAT: The Omani Hajj Mission has announced a new notification process for those eligible to perform the pilgrimage this Hijri year (1446 AH). Eligible individuals will receive text message notifications starting on January 7, 2024.
According to Oman News Agency, the eligible ‘pilgrims-to-be’ are advised to join authorized Hajj companies within five days of receiving their confirmation messages. Furthermore, they are required to pay 50% of the value of their respective contracts as part of the registration process.
This notification system aims to streamline the process for prospective pilgrims, ensuring they have adequate time to complete necessary arrangements for the pilgrimage. The Omani Hajj Mission’s initiative reflects its commitment to facilitating a smooth and organized process for pilgrims.
