Sultan Qaboos Holy Quran Competition Kicks Off in Jaalan Bani Bu Hassan

Jaalan bani bu hassan: Preliminary rounds of the 33rd edition of the Sultan Qaboos Holy Quran Competition kicked off today in the Wilayat of Jaalan Bani Bu Hassan, South A’Sharqiyah Governorate. The event marks a significant gathering for participants and spectators alike in this annual religious competition.

According to Oman News Agency, the competition is organized by the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science of the Diwan of Royal Court. This year, the event has attracted as many as 2,800 male and female contestants. Participants are competing across seven distinct levels of Holy Quran memorization. These levels range from the memorization of the entire Holy Quran to memorizing 24 consecutive parts, 18 consecutive parts, 12 consecutive parts, 6 consecutive parts, 4 consecutive parts, and 2 consecutive parts.

The competition serves as a platform for Quranic scholars and enthusiasts to showcase their skills and dedication to the memorization of the Holy Quran. It also aims to promote understanding and appreciation of Islamic teachings among the participants and the broader community.
