South Al Batinah Municipal Council Reviews Development Plans in Tenth Meeting

South al batinah: The Municipal Council of South Al Batinah Governorate convened for its tenth meeting of 2025 to evaluate numerous service and development topics pertinent to the growth of the governorate's wilayats. The meeting was presided over by Eng. Masoud Said Al Hashimi, Governor of South Al Batinah and Chairman of the Council, who also confirmed the minutes from the previous meeting and facilitated discussions on various issues concerning the education sector.

According to Oman News Agency, the Department of Heritage and Tourism presented a visual briefing detailing the procedures for acquiring licenses for guest houses and "Green Inns." This initiative aims to bolster sustainable tourism within the governorate by regulating these accommodations and fostering local investment in the hospitality industry.

The Council also considered several general issues, including a study to enhance monitoring of animal feed products in commercial establishments and farms. Moreover, the meeting focused on planning the locations for commercial, industrial, and service centers in villages and regions removed from urban centers to promote balanced development. Additionally, members examined the annual report for 2025 and the findings from the Committee for Governorate Development following their field inspections of various projects in the Wilayat of Barka.
