Pakistan Announces Resumption of US-Iran Technical Talks Amid Mediation Efforts

Muscat: Pakistan announced today that technical talks between the United States and Iran would resume next week, as part of Islamabad's mediation efforts to end the war in the Middle East.

According to Oman News Agency, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi stated that the talks would resume in the middle of next week. This follows the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two sides last Wednesday. The agreement outlines a framework for negotiations aimed at reaching a final deal within a 60-day period, which can be extended if necessary.

The US and Iranian representatives engaged in an extensive round of talks in Switzerland last Sunday. These discussions began with meetings between the political delegations and continued through specialized technical and expert teams.
