Muscat: The summer programme, Leadership Rooting, concluded today at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Compound for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah. The programme was organized by the Municipal Council of Dhofar Governorate in collaboration with the "Ta'seel" Initiative Team, targeting 90 male and female students over a two-week period.
According to Oman News Agency, the closing ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Mohsen Al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality. He honored the participating students, trainers, lecturers, and contributors, acknowledging their efforts in implementing the programme and achieving its objectives.
The programme featured a series of specialist lectures, workshops, interactive sessions, and applied activities, delivered by over 26 trainers, lecturers, and speakers. These sessions were aimed at cultivating leadership capabilities among young participants, instilling national values, enhancing social responsibility, and refining personal skills. This initiative is part of broader efforts to prepare a cadre of young national leaders.
The Leadership Rooting programme is a component of community-driven efforts to nurture a generation that is conscious of its national identity, steadfast in its values, and equipped with the knowledge and leadership competencies needed to contribute meaningfully to the nation and society.
