Muscat: Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy reported today that several power generation and water desalination plants have been targeted by Iranian attacks for the fourth consecutive day. These incidents have resulted in fires at multiple facilities.
According to Oman News Agency, emergency teams have been dispatched to address these incidents in coordination with the General Fire Force and security agencies. The teams successfully contained and extinguished the fires, and are currently assessing the damage. Efforts to repair and rehabilitate the affected facilities are underway.
The ministry also stated that a number of generation units have been taken offline as a precautionary measure. This step is intended to protect equipment and ensure the stability of Kuwait's electricity and water systems.
