Hong Kong leads swimming with three golds at ISF Gymnasiade


Hong Kong secured three gold medals in the International School Sport Federation (ISF) Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024 swimming competitions at the Bahrain Swimming Association (BSA) pool in Khalifa Sport City, placing them at the top of the standings. Victories included the girls’ 4×100 metre freestyle relay, 200 metre freestyle, and 400 metre freestyle.

China won the boys’ 4×100 metre freestyle relay, defeating Greece and Ukraine, while Hong Kong took gold in the girls’ division, ahead of Greece and Mexico.

In the 50 metre breaststroke, Turkey clinched first place for boys, followed by China and Ukraine; Greece took first for girls, with Hong Kong second and Poland third.

Ukraine claimed the boys’ 100 metre backstroke gold, China placed second, and Hungary third. Romania won the girls’ category, with Greece second and Chinese Taipei third.

Hong Kong also won the boys’ 200 metre freestyle, surpassing Brazil and Hungary, while Brazil took first and second in the girls’ race, with China third.

Romania topped the
boys’ 400 metre freestyle, ahead of Greece and Hungary, while Hong Kong won in the girls’ race, beating Brazil and Chinese Taipei.
