HM The Sultan Embarks on Official Visit to Bahrain for GCC Summit

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik left here today heading to the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate in the GCC Summit. This participation comes in response to an invitation received by His Majesty the Sultan from the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain. It aims to strengthen the bonds of fraternity and partnership among the GCC Leaders.

According to Oman News Agency, His Majesty was seen off at the Royal Airport by an array of high-ranking officials, including HH Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tarik al-Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan. The delegation present at the departure also included prominent figures such as HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, and Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, among others.

His Majesty the Sultan is accompanied during the visit by a high-ranking official delegation. The delegation comprises HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, and Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office. Other key members of the delegation include Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, and Sayyid Faisal bin Harib Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The GCC Summit provides a platform for leaders to discuss and coordinate on various regional issues, aiming to enhance cooperation and solidarity among the nations. His Majesty’s visit underscores the importance of such gatherings in promoting unity and collaboration within the region.
