France’s Maxime Grousset Wins Second Gold at World Aquatics Championships

Manama: France’s Maxime Grousset won his second gold medal at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, winning the men’s 100m butterfly with a time of 49.62 seconds, the third fastest in history.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Grousset finished ahead of Switzerland’s No¨ Ponti, who clocked 49.83 seconds, and Canada’s Ilya Kharun, who came in at 50.07 seconds.

Earlier in the competition, Grousset won gold in the 50m butterfly, edging out Ponti and Italy’s Thomas Ceccon.
