Muscat: Eid Al Adha 1447 AH holiday for employees in the units of the State Administrative Apparatus and other legal entities, as well as workers in private sector establishments, will begin on Tuesday, 9 Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH, corresponding to 26 May 2026. Official work shall resume on Sunday, 31 May 2026.
According to Oman News Agency, the Ministry of Labour highlighted that employers may agree on terms to engage employees on the said holiday, if deemed necessary due to the nature of their work, provided they compensate them for the holiday. This flexibility aims to accommodate essential services that may require continuous operation during the holiday period.
