At HM’s Behest, Shura Council to Conclude Third Regular Session of Tenth Term on 12 July

Muscat: As per the Royal orders of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Shura Council will adjourn the proceedings of the third regular session (2025-2026) of its tenth term (2023-2027), effective Sunday, 12 July, in accordance with the provisions of Article (41) of the Council of Oman Law.

According to Oman News Agency, Sheikh Ahmed Mohammed Al Nadabi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council, stated in a press release that the Council has, during the third regular session of the tenth term, consolidated the legislative accomplishments achieved during the first and second sessions. This reflects a sustained commitment to translating the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 by establishing a legislative framework that reinforces national orientations, in alignment with the roles and competencies stipulated by the Council of Oman Law.

He pointed out that the Council's legislative output across the three sessions of the tenth term has reached 73 accomplishments, encompassing the review of draft laws and agreements referred by the government, as well as the proposal of new draft laws or amendments to existing legislation, thereby reinforcing the trajectory of development and nation-building underway across various sectors in the Sultanate of Oman.
