Sohar: Activities of the '2026 Vocational Training Forum' began today at Sohar University in the North Al Batinah Governorate. The 3-day event sees the participation of 15 government and private establishments from the governorate.
According to Oman News Agency, the first day's activities included the opening of an exhibition featuring training programmes available at the 15 establishments, employment requirements, and related future career paths. During the period of the forum, a number of academics and experts in the field of vocational training will present working papers and participate in specialized workshops.
The discussions will cover topics, including trends of the Omani labour market, the course from university to the labour market, entrepreneurship and freelancing as employment opportunities, communication and leadership, the power of building a professional network, self-marketing, artificial intelligence, and emotional intelligence.
