Muscat:A delegation from the United States House of Representatives, along with the US Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC).
According to Oman News Agency, the group was welcomed by Commodore Abdullah bin Ali Al Hajri, the Head of the MSC. During their visit, they received a detailed briefing on the centre's competencies, its national roles, and the tasks it undertakes in monitoring maritime conditions. The centre plays a crucial role in enhancing the response to incidents and emergencies in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the security and safety of maritime navigation.
The delegation also toured the centre's facilities, observing the equipment, technologies, and systems that bolster its operational capabilities. These resources are vital in improving the readiness and efficiency of the MSC in fulfilling its assigned tasks and responsibilities.
