Kuwait: Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced today that two power generation and water desalination facilities were targeted by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), causing severe material damage and taking two electricity production units offline. No casualties have been reported.
According to Oman News Agency, Ministry spokesperson Fatimah Jawhar Hayat told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that technical and emergency teams immediately activated their response in line with approved contingency plans, coordinating with relevant authorities to safeguard the stability and security of the nation's electricity and water grids, which remain the highest priority.
All technical crews are working around the clock to ensure service continuity, she added.
