“Transport Middle East 2025” Conference Begins in Salalah

Salalah: The 22nd edition of the “Transport Middle East 2025” conference began today in the Wilayat of Salalah, Governorate of Dhofar. As many as 300 international executives, experts, and specialists are taking part in the conference, which is hosted by the Port of Salalah. The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Eng. Said Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.

According to Oman News Agency, Mohammed Oufait Al Maashani, CEO of Salalah Port Services Company (Port of Salalah), stated that the conference aims to develop the transport and logistics in the Middle East. He emphasized that digital transformation, automation, and sustainability provide the sector with exceptional opportunities, positioning it as a pioneer in the traffic of goods and services. He added that the conference seeks to exchange visions, explore partnerships, and showcase the latest technologies to consolidate flexibility, efficiency, and sustainability in transport systems, thereby supporting economic growth and better serving future generations.

The conference will discuss more than 30 working papers and lectures focused on addressing major issues and challenges posed to the transport and logistics infrastructure sector in the Middle East and Africa. Additionally, the conference will explore the future of smart ports, digitization in supply chains, and the application of the latest maritime safety and maintenance technologies. It offers an important platform for exhibition companies and other firms, enabling them to showcase their latest technologies and services. The event also helps consolidate direct communication channels among decision-makers in the region’s maritime transport and logistics sector.
