Dhofar: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism today launched a tourism awareness programme codenamed 'Your Path is Green', at Al Baleed Archaeological Park in Dhofar Governorate. The initiative is a collaborative effort with Awasr Company and is part of the strategy to promote the Khareef Dhofar (monsoon) season 2026.
According to Oman News Agency, the programme is designed to enhance tourism awareness among visitors to Dhofar Governorate through digital communication and smart guidance messages. This approach aims to ensure public safety, conserve the environment, and improve the overall visitor experience.
Key aspects of the programme include guided field tours at heritage and tourist sites, as well as media gatherings where visitors receive awareness messages interactively, utilizing Awasr Company's digital infrastructure.
The launch ceremony took place under the patronage of Sheikh Dr. Said bin Humaid Al Harthi, Wali of Salalah.
