The Deputy Governor of Nineveh discusses with the UN program the projects implemented in the districts, and villages of the governorate

The First Deputy Governor of Nineveh, Siron Rojbayani, held a meeting with Jim Sawatsky, Director of the Nineveh Stabilization Program of the United Nations Development Programme.

Rojbyani told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that, “The meeting included a discussion about the role of the UNDP in Nineveh Governorate and the projects it implemented in the various districts, districts, and villages of the governorate. He stressed the importance of the role of international organizations in supporting the local government in efforts to rebuild the governorate,” noting, “It was agreed to Forming an engineering team with the aim of supporting those returning to the Khazar villages, assessing their needs, and working to rebuild and reconstruct their villages.”

He called for the rapid provision of services to the people of those villages, and it was agreed to visit the villages of Mosul by a committee representing the UNDP, UNHCR and IOM organizations. Among the work priorities are the restoration of schools, health centers and residential homes, digging wells, and providing electricity and water.”
