Bangkok: Thailand’s Prime Minister-elect Anutin Charnvirakul has announced plans to hold parliamentary elections within four months, adhering to a previous promise he made during his campaign. This move is part of Charnvirakul’s efforts to consolidate democratic processes in the country.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Charnvirakul, who leads the Bhumjaithai Party, emphasized his commitment to uphold all agreements made prior to his election. His appointment as Prime Minister, however, is still pending formal approval by the King, who possesses the constitutional authority to dissolve parliament if deemed necessary.
