Salalah: A symposium titled “Dhofar in the Memory of Omani History” commenced today in Salalah. The 3-day event is organized by the National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA) in cooperation with the Dhofar Governor’s Office.
According to Oman News Agency, the opening ceremony was held under the auspices of HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar. The symposium includes the presentation of 33 research papers and academic studies across seven academic sessions. These sessions are divided into five main themes: history and politics, economics and society, culture and science, in addition to a theme dedicated to documents, manuscripts, and oral history. The event features the participation of academics and researchers from both within and outside the Sultanate of Oman.
