Supreme Judiciary Council Holds Third Meeting in 2025

Muscat: The Supreme Judiciary Council today held its third meeting of the year under the chairmanship of Sayyid Mohammed Sultan Al Busaidi, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judiciary Council.

According to Oman News Agency, the meeting discussed several topics on the agenda as part of the Council’s mandate to supervise courts, judges, and the Public Prosecution Department. The main goal is to improve the quality of judicial services and develop the digital infrastructure of the judicial sector to support the implementation of prompt justice and enhance transparency.

The meeting also addressed decisions related to the administrative and functional affairs of the Supreme Judiciary Council. It reviewed the organizational structure of the Supreme Judiciary Council following its approval by His Majesty the Sultan.

Furthermore, the meeting endorsed mechanisms for implementing tasks outlined in the organizational structure, as well as the Royal directives in this regard. Topics related to the development of laws and legislation concerning the Council’s course of action were also reviewed.
