Supreme Judiciary Council Evaluates Judicial Services During Recess

Muscat: The Supreme Judiciary Council convened its third meeting of 2026, presided over by Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan Al Busaidi, the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judiciary Council. The meeting focused on the evaluation of ongoing plans and efforts within the judiciary system, particularly during the judicial recess period.

According to Oman News Agency, the Council praised the efforts of various departments responsible for maintaining the consistent operation of judicial work. The Council acknowledged the achievement of a high rate of case settlements, the consistency of verdicts, and the progress in digital transitions within the courts, the Public Prosecution Department, and the Notary Public Department.

The session included a thorough review of the strategies implemented by the courts and the Public Prosecution Department to ensure uninterrupted and efficient service delivery during the judicial recess. The Council's discussions aimed to guarantee that the functioning of these judicial bodies remains unaffected by the recess period.
