Supervisory Committee of 11th Five-Year Development Plan Holds First Meeting in Muscat.


Muscat: The Supervisory Committee for the 11th Five-Year Development Plan (2026-2030) today held its first meeting in Muscat. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Said Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Committee.

According to Oman News Agency, the meeting was held as part of preparations for Oman Vision 2040’s second executive plan. It reviewed the plan’s governance methods, the technical teams’ mechanism of functioning, and the timetable. Fourteen technical teams were formed, comprising 220 members who possess national expertise and professional competencies. The teams represent government, security, military, academic, private, and civil society institutions.

The meeting discussed the tasks and responsibilities entrusted to the committee and measures to ensure consistency between plans of the medium-term and the long-term vision. Emphasis was laid on coordination among the relevant parties in the ministries concerned and in Oman governorates.

eparing the general framework for the 11th Five-Year Development Plan and proposing the economic and financial framework, the investment programme, policies, and strategies to achieve the plan’s desired objectives.
