Western media reported successive barrages of rockets launched from southern Lebanon towards the occupied territories and reached a depth of 40 km away from the border.
For its part, Hezbollah announced that it had bombed a gathering of Israeli soldiers south of Maroun al-Ras with a barrage of rockets.
