Muscat: The Academy for Strategic and Defense Studies: The Academy for Strategic and Defense Studies, represented by the Center for Strategic and Defense Studies and in collaboration with various civilian entities, concluded its Strategic Foresight Program.
According to Oman News Agency, the program, which began on 24 August, saw the participation of specialists from military, security, and civilian agencies. The closing ceremony, held at the Royal Academy of Management (RAM), was presided over by Dr. Nasser Rashid Al Maawali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy.
The program included a series of lectures and workshops that covered multiple related topics and objectives. Participants also received training on strategic foresight tools and engaged in practical applications of future foresight and strategic analysis. The program’s key objectives were to embed strategic foresight into national policies, enhance decision-making capabilities through proactive governance methodologies, and develop skills in scenario planning and risk preparedness.
It also aimed to prepare strategic papers that align with global and regional priorities and to anticipate emerging trends and opportunities to strengthen national resilience and competitive advantage.
