Muscat: The State Council Office today held its first meeting of the third regular session of the eighth term, focusing on a study submitted by the Special Committee. This committee was established to explore “Enhancing the Quality of Academic Achievement and the Mastery of Competencies and Skills in School Education in the Sultanate of Oman: An Analytical and Legislative Study.”
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting was presided over by Sheikh Abdulmalik Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council. It was attended by members of the Council’s Office along with the Council Secretary General. The discussion aimed at improving the educational framework within the country by examining key competencies and skills required in school education.
During the meeting, the Office invited Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Sarmi, Chairman of the Education and Research Committee, and Dr. Rashid Saif Al Mahrizi, Vice Chairman and Rapporteur of the Committee, to deliberate on the findings of the study. Their insights were crucial in understanding the legislative and analytical aspects of enhancing educational quality in Oman.
Additionally, the meeting addressed a request from the Economic and Financial Committee. This request pertained to the completion of a study on “Enablers for Enhancing Domestic Tourism in the Sultanate of Oman,” highlighting the Council’s broader focus on improving various sectors within the nation.
