South a’sharqiyah: The Governorate of South A’Sharqiyah today signed a cooperation agreement with Oman India Fertilizer Company (OMIFCO) in a bid to support the preparedness of emergency systems.
According to Oman News Agency, the agreement seeks to enhance the capabilities of relief systems and raise their operational efficiency, notably by consolidating resilience of institutions and communities in addressing emergencies. It also aims to develop vital infrastructure and services to ensure their sustainability and groom national competencies that are capable of professionally managing risks. This is in addition to enhancing public-private sector partnerships for supporting national initiatives that have a sustainable impact.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Yahya Badr Al Maawali, Governor of South A’Sharqiyah (Chairman of the sub-committee of Oman Charitable Organization in the Governorate), and Eng. Khalid Mohammed Al Fannah, OMIFCO’s Director of Sustainability and Institutional Communication, in the presence of representatives of Oman Charitable Organization and officials from the Governorate.
