SEZAD Completes First Phase of Fisheries and Food Industries Complex in Duqm

Muscat: The Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD) has successfully completed the first phase of a comprehensive plan aimed at establishing a fisheries and food industries complex within the zone. This initiative is part of SEZAD’s broader strategy to attract investment into the sector and promote the establishment of new local projects.

According to Oman News Agency, Eng. Ahmed Ali Akaak, CEO of SEZAD, stated that the first phase of the plan covers an area of 95 hectares. This is part of a larger fisheries and food industries complex that spans a total area of 750 hectares, equivalent to 7.5 square kilometers. The detailed plan accommodates up to 60 facilities, and it includes provisions for future expansion as needed.
