The Ministry of Education, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, and the National Curriculum Center signed here today a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish the Excellence Center for Artificial Intelligence in education, which allows to take advantage of the “ALLaM” (Arabic Large Language Model) to support researchers, professors, and students.
The MoU was signed by Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Curriculum Center Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, SDAIA President Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, and Education and Training Evaluation Commission Chairman Dr. Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Sabti during the third Global AI Summit (GAIN Summit).
The memorandum aims to develop cooperation framework for the establishment of the center in the field of education and its governance and to benefit from the ALLaM as a national generative artificial-intelligence (AI) model.
