The Saudi math team, represented by King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and the Ministry of Education, has won eight awards at the 35th Asian Pacific Mathematics Olympiad: one silver medal, five bronze and two letters of appreciation. 345 students from 35 countries participated in this year’s Olympiad.
Mawhiba Secretary-General Dr. Amal Hazzaa extended her congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for this national achievement that is the result of the wise leadership’s support.
The Saudi team that participated in the previous edition of the Olympiad won three silver medals and four bronze.
