Saudi Crown Prince And The Iranian FM Discuss Future Opportunities For Cooperation Between Riyadh And Tehran

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdullahian in Jeddah.

The Saudi Press Agency “SPA” reported that the Iranian Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings and appreciation of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince, while bin Salman conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

During the meeting, they reviewed the relations between the Kingdom and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and future opportunities for cooperation between the two countries and ways to develop them, in addition to discussing developments in the situation on the regional and international arenas, and the efforts exerted towards them.

The meeting was attended by Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, while from the Iranian side, Advisor to the Foreign Minister Ali Reza Enayati, Director General of the Protocol Agency of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sayyid Mohsen Mortezaei, and Chargé d’Affairs of the Iranian Embassy in Riyadh, Hassan Zarnkara Barqoni.

It is noteworthy that Abdullahian arrived yesterday, Thursday, in Riyadh, on a visit at the invitation of his Saudi counterpart, where talks took place between the two parties, and then they held a joint press conference.
