Muscat: Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), welcomed Major General Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Balawi, Commander of the GCC Unified Military Command, at Al Murtafa’a Camp today. The meeting focused on exchanging views and discussing topics aimed at enhancing joint GCC military cooperation.
According to Oman News Agency, Air Vice Marshal Khamis Hammad Al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), also held a meeting with Major General Al Balawi at Al Murtafa’a Camp. The discussions revolved around several military topics of mutual interest.
Additionally, Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), received Major General Al Balawi and engaged in discussions about strengthening joint GCC military cooperation, with a particular emphasis on maritime fields.
As part of his visit, Major General Al Balawi toured the Maritime Security Centre (MSC), where he was welcomed by Commodore Adel Humood Al Busaidi, Head of the Maritime Security Centre. During this visit, the Commander was briefed on the roles and efforts of the MSC in maintaining security and safety in Oman’s maritime zones, and he explored the Centre’s facilities and modern technological systems.
