Muscat: Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), welcomed Lt. General Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Gharibi, Chief of Staff of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, along with his military delegation, at Al Murtafa'a Camp.
According to Oman News Agency, the visit commenced with a traditional military salute performed by the Guard of Honor at the headquarters of the Royal Navy of Oman. The Royal Navy of Oman band played the ceremonial salute as the Saudi Chief of Staff inspected the guard. The meeting between the two naval commanders covered several mutual military topics, with both sides exchanging views on matters of shared interest.
In addition to the meeting, the Saudi delegation visited the Maritime Security Center. Commodore Adil Hamoud Al Busaidi, Head of the Maritime Security Center, received the guests. During their visit, the delegation was briefed on the center's roles in maintaining maritime security and safety in Oman's waters. The tour included an overview of the center's facilities and its modern technologies and systems used for maritime security operations.
