Al murtafa’a camp: The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) today organized a ceremony at Al Murtafa’a Camp to honour winners of the 2025 Science Club competitions. The event was presided over by Maj. Gen Mattar bin Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman.
According to Oman News Agency, the ceremony commenced with the chief guest receiving a briefing about the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Division and the Science Club. This was followed by a presentation highlighting the objectives of the Science Club competitions alongside the innovative projects presented by the participants.
Subsequently, Maj. Gen Mattar bin Salim Al Balushi presented awards to the top winners and recognized outstanding members of the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Division. An exhibition showcasing projects, innovations, equipment, and devices was also held on the sidelines of the event.
Maj. Gen Mattar bin Salim Al Balushi praised the participants’ scientific inventions and innovations, emphasizing their importance in upholding the scientific and technical standards of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and other military and security services.
The ceremony saw the attendance of senior officers from the SAF and other military and security services, retired senior officers, specialists from educational and civil institutions, as well as personnel from the RAO Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Division.
