Madha: The preliminary qualifiers for the 33rd edition of the Sultan Qaboos Quran Competition commenced today at the Sultan Qaboos Mosque in the Wilayat of Madha, Musandam Governorate. Organized by the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science of the Diwan of Royal Court, the competition features 26 male and female contestants from Madha and Dibba centers.
According to Oman News Agency, the competition aims to reinforce the esteemed care for the Holy Quran, encourage youth and talented individuals to memorize it, promote the teachings and ethics of the Quran, and foster a spirit of honorable competition among participants.
