Muscat: The preliminary qualifiers for the 33rd annual Holy Quran memorization competition, organized by the Sultan Qaboos Higher Center for Culture and Science at the Diwan of Royal Court, were held today at the Sultan Qaboos Mosque in Sur, South A’Sharqiyah Governorate.
According to Oman News Agency, a total of 76 male and female contestants are participating in the two-day event. The competition is divided into seven age-based categories: full Quran memorization, the memorization of 24 consecutive parts, the memorization of 18 consecutive parts, the memorization of 12 consecutive parts, the memorization of 6 consecutive parts, the memorization of 4 consecutive parts, and the memorization of 2 consecutive parts.
