Gaza: Chairman and Speaker of the Palestinian National Council (PNC) Rawhi Fattouh has declared that the massacre carried out by Israeli occupation forces in Jabalia, northern Gaza, resulting in the deaths of over 45 Palestinians, including women and children, and leaving hundreds trapped under rubble, signifies a severe escalation in Israel’s genocide and ethnic cleansing policy.
According to Oman News Agency, Fattouh’s statement, released today by the PNC, highlighted that the deliberate targeting of children and women with warplanes, the bombing of hospitals, and the killing of more than 100 Palestinians within a 24-hour period, amid a crippling siege and lack of healthcare, amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.
He emphasized the urgent necessity for an effective international and United Nations (UN) response to halt the brutal aggression against the defenseless population, to provide international protection from genocide and ethnic cleansing, and to implement immediate and effective measures to hold those responsible for these crimes accountable.
