Muscat: As part of the programmes of the 29th edition of the Muscat International Book Fair, the National Library of Oman today organized a panel discussion on its intellectual and cultural role. The dialogue session highlighted the role of Omanis and their intellectual and scholarly contributions to civilization since the dawn of Islam. It also elaborated on the national bibliography and its significance in preserving Omani intellectual outcomes, manuscripts, and their role in safeguarding the national intellectual heritage.
According to Oman News Agency, the discussion also covered various aspects of the Children’s Library and its role in fostering ‘conscious readers’ and establishing awareness about stages of human growth from childhood.
