Muscat: The Board of Trustees of the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) held its third meeting for 2025 today, chaired by Dr. Hilal Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of Trustees. During the meeting, the Board discussed and approved a new program: the “Fellowship in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.” This initiative will help enhance local training opportunities for national medical cadres in fellowship specializations.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting also addressed a review of internal reports related to specialized residency and local fellowship training programs. Furthermore, the Board reviewed several other items on the agenda, including the approval of the minutes from the second Board of Trustees meeting and following up on decisions and action plans linked to previously discussed topics.
The Board also reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming visit by the International Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, which is part of the periodic assessment and accreditation procedures for the training programs.
