Riyadh: The Sultanate of Oman is actively participating in the Riyadh International Book Fair 2025, which commenced today in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and will run until 11 October. Oman’s pavilion at the event highlights a broad array of Omani cultural and intellectual publications, showcasing works from various disciplines.
According to Oman News Agency, the exhibits include contributions from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth; the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs; the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism; Sultan Qaboos University; and the National Records and Archives Authority. Additionally, private Omani publishing houses and libraries are also presenting their works. Oman’s involvement in the fair highlights its commitment to strengthening relations with Saudi Arabia and ensuring the presence of Omani literature in both Arab and international cultural forums.

. The event attracts a significant number of writers, intellectuals, and readers, while offering cultural programmes that reflect the Arab world’s cultural interests. The fair’s programme includes more than 200 activities such as workshops, lectures, dialogue sessions, and a children’s cultural platform designed to develop young people’s skills and engage them in creative competitions and activities.
The book fair also features a “Business Zone,” hosting specialized workshops and discussion panels on topics like bookmaking, copyright, and licensing. This area serves as a platform for dialogue among professionals in the writing and publishing industry. Visitors will have the chance to interact with authors and intellectuals, sign memoranda of understanding, and explore cultural initiatives from official institutions, universities, and community organizations.
