Oman, Thailand Discuss Economic, Developmental Cooperation Prospects

Muscat: The Foreign Ministry, in collaboration and coordination with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand, organized a workshop today at the Diplomatic Academy in Muscat to mark the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Thailand. The workshop was inaugurated by Sheikh Humaid Ali Al Ma’ani, Head of the Diplomatic Academy at the Foreign Ministry.

According to Oman News Agency, the session covered several main themes, including reviewing the diplomatic experiences of both Oman and Thailand in promoting peace and regional development, the role of the two countries’ leaderships in consolidating stability and sustainable development, and economic relations and opportunities to enhance cooperation in developmental and investment fields.

In this context, emphasis was placed on the importance of advancing economic relations between the two friendly countries to broader levels, by encouraging joint investments and expanding cooperation in the tourism, energy, and trade sectors. This effort aligns with their aspirations for comprehensive and sustainable development.

The workshop was attended by representatives from several government entities, diplomats, and experts from both sides, along with a number of diplomats from accredited missions to the Sultanate of Oman.
