Muscat: Dr. Mohammed Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, received Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, in his office as part of Minnikhanov's visit to the Sultanate of Oman. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations between Oman and Tatarstan, exploring avenues to enhance them in areas of mutual interest, particularly in the fields of endowments (Awqaf) and religious affairs.
According to Oman News Agency, the discussions included the exchange of expertise in managing endowment institutions and the promotion of dialogue and cultural and religious cooperation. These efforts build upon dialogues and consultations held in Tatarstan last November. Al Maamari outlined the operational mechanisms of endowments and religious affairs in Oman, emphasizing the importance of mutual acquaintance and dialogue to overcome differences.
For his part, Rustam Minnikhanov praised the religious facilities in Oman and expressed his aspiration to strengthen relations in the fields of endowments and religious affairs. He also showed interest in benefiting from Oman's experience in these sectors. The meeting was attended by Oleg Vladimirovich, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Oman, and several officials from both sides.
