Kuwait city: The Sultanate of Oman participated in the meeting of the 104th regular session of the Arab Permanent Information Committee, which was held in the State of Kuwait. The Sultanate of Oman's delegation was headed by Mohammed Said Al Balushi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting discussed several important topics, including enhancing media support for the Palestinian cause and following up on the implementation of the Arab Media Action Plan Abroad. It also covered the executive plan for the joint Arab media strategy to combat terrorism and the executive program for the Arab Media Map for Sustainable Development 2030.
The meeting further addressed the development of a unified strategy for dealing with international media companies, encouraging quality and professional excellence in media work, and building the capacities of Arab media professionals, content producers, and influencers. Additionally, it reviewed follow-ups on implementing the Arab Strategy for Media and Information Literacy, examined the recommendations of the expert team concerned with the Arab Plan for Media Engagement on Environmental Issues, and discussed the role of media in elevating Arab character and culture.
The discussions also included leveraging artificial intelligence technologies in Arab media and their impact on the human element.
