Oman Participates in Preparatory Meeting for Arab-Islamic Summit on Regional Conflict.

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman participated in the preparatory meeting of foreign ministers for the extraordinary joint Arab-Islamic summit scheduled to be held tomorrow in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The summit will address the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Palestinian territories and Lebanon, as well as current regional developments. The Sultanate of Oman’s delegation was led by Abdullah Nasser Al Rahbi, the Ambassador of Oman to Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the Arab League.

According to Oman News Agency, Al Rahbi emphasized Oman’s commitment to peace and stability in the Middle East. He reiterated the country’s call for increased international efforts to halt the cycle of violence and to establish sustainable peace in the region. Al Rahbi highlighted Oman’s dedication to peaceful resolutions, particularly concerning the Palestinian issue, and stressed that a lasting solution can only be achieved through dialogue and adherence to international resolutions.

Al Rahbi further explained t
hat Oman is focused on protecting people’s rights and supporting development and welfare efforts as means to ensure regional stability. He stressed that achieving a two-state solution in line with United Nations resolutions is a crucial element in reaching this objective.

He also noted that Oman believes international support for humanitarian actions, especially those by UN organizations aiding Palestinian refugees, is essential for maintaining balance and providing a decent life. This support is seen as vital in restoring hope for a just and secure future.

Al Rahbi called for practical steps that demonstrate Islamic solidarity and have a tangible impact on the ground. He emphasized Oman’s commitment to dialogue and diplomacy as fundamental tools for achieving solutions that ensure regional security and stability while avoiding escalation that could threaten both regional and international peace.
