Oman-Estonia Business Forum Highlights Potential for Economic Partnerships

Muscat: The Oman-Estonia Business Forum, organized by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, focused on strengthening economic and investment ties between Oman and Estonia, with an emphasis on exploring cooperation opportunities in various sectors, including technology, energy, and logistics.

According to Oman News Agency, the forum aimed to foster partnerships between the private sectors of the two countries, discussing potential collaborations in areas such as information and communication technology, industry, cybersecurity, educational technology, agricultural technology, green and renewable energy, real estate, logistics, transportation, smart manufacturing, and sustainability.

Qais Mohammed Al Yousuf, Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, highlighted the mutual interest in enhancing relations and promoting investments. He emphasized the importance of identifying investment opportunities in sectors of shared interest to boost trade and diversify imports and exports.

Faisal Abdullah Al Rowas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, described the forum as a means to open new avenues for collaboration, praising Estonia’s leadership in digital transformation and innovation. He also noted Oman’s strategic location and modern infrastructure, expressing hope for practical partnerships that diversify joint investments.

Margus Tsahkna, Estonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, underscored the commitment to economic cooperation, recognizing Oman’s strategic location and investment potential. He highlighted opportunities for integration in digital technology, renewable energy, logistics, education, and entrepreneurial innovation.

Ingrid Amer, Estonia’s Ambassador to Oman, remarked on the rapid development of Omani-Estonian relations, particularly in economic and commercial sectors. She emphasized the mutual benefits of enhancing cooperation between entrepreneurs and companies from both nations.

The forum featured a presentation on investment opportunities in Oman, focusing on various sectors and highlighting the advantages of special economic and free zones. Bilateral meetings between business leaders from both countries were held to discuss potential commercial and investment partnerships.
