Kuwait city: The Sultanate of Oman chaired the meeting of the Observers Committee of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) today, held as part of the activities of the organization's fifth General Assembly currently taking place in the State of Kuwait, with extensive participation from international entities and global corporations.
According to Oman News Agency, during the meeting, the Sultanate of Oman emphasized the importance of enhancing the role of companies and the private sector in supporting international digital policies and creating opportunities for them within digital transformation and artificial intelligence projects.
The Sultanate of Oman also highlighted the necessity of supporting digital innovation and investment by encouraging joint initiatives, knowledge transfer, and capacity building in emerging markets, while reaffirming the vital role of corporations as primary drivers for inclusive digital prosperity.
Furthermore, the Sultanate of Oman reiterated its commitment to strengthening international cooperation and building a comprehensive and sustainable digital ecosystem that supports economic growth and opens new avenues for companies in regional and global markets.
The delegation of the Sultanate of Oman was led by Dr. Ali Amer Al Shidhani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology.
