Muscat: Dr. Hilal Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health, received Alexander Khodzhayev, Minister of Health of the Republic of Belarus, to discuss and expand the partnership in healthcare between Oman and Belarus. The meeting led to the signing of a roadmap for cooperation in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, outlining guidelines for legal frameworks and focusing on medical care, education, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment.
According to Oman News Agency, Dr. Hilal emphasized the significance of international cooperation for Oman to gain from other countries' experiences and expertise. The visit by the Belarusian Minister is part of an ongoing exchange, following a recent visit by Omani officials to Belarus where a memorandum of understanding was signed, which is now yielding results through bilateral cooperation.
Dr. Hilal highlighted Oman's dedication to learning from Belarus in oncology, cardiology, organ transplantation, and pharmaceutical industries. He also noted Belarus's interest in Omani expertise. The Belarusian delegation visited the National Center for Virtual Health, Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Center, and Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, witnessing advanced medical equipment and services.
