Oman Attends Board of Peace Meeting as Observer at US President’s Invitation

Washington: The Sultanate of Oman participated today as an observer in the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace, at the invitation of President Donald Trump of the United States of America. The meeting took place in Washington. According to Oman News Agency, the delegation from Oman was led by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister. The meeting saw the participation of several presidents, heads of government, and senior officials from member states, along with representatives from invited nations attending as observers. During the gathering, participants reviewed the Board's general vision and its action plan for the upcoming phase, with a focus on the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. Various participating parties announced voluntary financial and in-kind contributions to support humanitarian recovery efforts and facilitate the safe return of life for the population. Oman's participation reflects its consistent approach of supporting peace endeavors through dialogue, advocating for self -determination, and adhering to international law and United Nations resolutions. This includes backing the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, thereby ensuring sustainable security and stability for all peoples of the region.
