Muscat: Political consultation talks between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Yemen were held today in Muscat. The Omani delegation was led by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, while Dr. Mansour Ali Bajash, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, headed the Yemeni delegation.
According to Oman News Agency, the discussions focused on reviewing bilateral relations and exploring ways to enhance cooperation in economic and trade exchange. The talks also covered matters related to travel and communication between the two countries. In addition, both sides exchanged views on the latest developments in the Yemeni crisis and considered ways to resume the peace process. The aim is to achieve a just and comprehensive solution that considers the interests of all parties. Regional issues of mutual concern were also addressed during the session.
The meeting saw the attendance of Ambassador Sheikh Ahmed Hashil Al Maskari, Head of the GCC and Regional Neighbourhood Department at the Foreign Ministry, Dr. Khaled Saleh Shateef, Yemen’s accredited ambassador to Oman, along with several officials from both sides.
