London: The 17th session of the Oman-UK Joint Working Group was held in London, focusing on strengthening the bilateral ties between the two nations. The meeting was led by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, the Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs from Oman, and Hamish Falconer, the UK’s Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office responsible for the Middle East.
According to Oman News Agency, the discussions centered on reviewing the current state of bilateral relations and identifying ways to bolster cooperation in various fields, including cultural exchanges, sports, education, and training. An agreement concerning the employment of spouses of diplomats was signed during the meeting, indicating a move towards greater flexibility and cooperation in diplomatic engagements.
